L'appel est lancé - The appeal is filed

Mama's corner: hier j'ai reçu la confirmation que notre appel concernant le placement en école secondaire pour Natan a été enregistré par le Tribunal.

Les prochaines étapes seront donc les suivantes:
Le 2 juin, Camden doit envoyer une réponse écrite au Tribunal et à l'avocate pour faire savoir s'ils s'opposent a une ou plusieurs parties de l'appel et leur raison.
Au 12 juin, on doit envoyer un formulaire pour faire la liste des témoins de part et d'autre.
Le 10 juillet nous passerons en appel.

Je dois encore poser pas mal de questions à l'avocate. Cela ne va pas être une partie de plaisir et nous couter, encore, beaucoup d'argent. C'est quand même malheureux qu'il faille en arriver à ce genre de chose pour que le crapo puisse continuer sa scolarité dans de bonnes conditions... j'imagine que c'est la vie, que c'est comme ça et que d'autres payent des millions pour des places en écoles privées...

Aller, je vais aller m'acheter un petit sac à main, ça ira mieux après (je deconne)

Mama's corner: Yesterday I received the timetable for our appeal for Natan's placement in secondary school. Yep, we're one of those I guess. One of those many families that have to go through tribunal to be heard, for the child to continue to learn in good condition you name it. Usually, I hear people going to tribunal because they want the LA to pay for their ABA program. I've never asked anything from Camden... and now they are putting us in a situation where I don't have the choice. There is no way my son is going into the school they have "chosen" for us. We want a mainstream school with an autistic unit. Not a special school with children with various disability where Natan is going to watch other kids bang their heads on the wall or doning SIBs (Self Injury Behaviour). No way. The time table is a bit weird ; we will eventually appear for the Appeal on the 10th of July which I find very late. What is going to happen if there is no decision by the 6th of September (it's the start of the new academic year)? What if we loose? I don't have any answers right now and the lawyer is very scarce in her support/presence. So I will have to chase that when she's coming back from holidays...

I'm off shopping (and eating chocolate)  ; the best cure to all these worries!
